The house is coming along better than one would expect: 
considering it is over a hundred years old.

It is what the contractors found under the wallpaper 
in the kitchen of the house next door!

Here is a big shot of a corner in the kitchen from next door, 
after they removed the wallpaper
and yes, that's a horse and buggy in front of the middle house in the image.
I have no clue who the artist was.

The house on the left is ours.  The house on the right is the house next door (where these pictures are).  The house in the middle is kitty-corner from us, at the corner of Bell and Catherine Avenues in LaGrange.  Apparently, one of the people who lived here liked the neighborhood houses, and decorated the kitchen walls with paintings of them!  Fascinating!
